What does it mean to be a Hydro Operator?
A Hydrostatic Retest Operator is trained and certified to operate the hydrostatic retest machine. They are expected to calibrate the machine, check special permits, know the rules and where to find them in order to conduct a hydrostatic requalification test on an authorized cylinder.
There are many hydrostatic retester facilities across the United States. Only trust your hydro facility when you know you can. Cylinders need special care, and are legally regulated by the Department of Transportation. If you are a hydrostatic retester facility who needs staff training, please reach out to Mark at (812) 824-7234, or email him at mark@southernindianascuba.com.
